Three analysis methods
Bishop's simplified method for circular surfaces; Janbu's simplified method (with or without correction factor) and Spencer's method for circular, block, irregular and user-defined slip surfaces.
Automatic slip-surface search
Generate thousands of random trial surfaces within your search constraints. The ten most critical are retained, sorted and plotted over the slope.
Reinforcement and inclusions
Tiebacks, soil nails, metallic or geosynthetic reinforcement, and pile rows enter the analysis directly, with their forces accounted for in the factor of safety.
Groundwater and loading
Multiple water tables and pore-pressure patterns, distributed surface loads, and pseudo-static seismic coefficients.

Sketch the ground surface, layer boundaries, water table, loads and reinforcement on a canvas instead of typing coordinates. Snap to vertices, edit in tables, undo and redo.
Monte Carlo analysisNew
Assign probability distributions to soil parameters and obtain the distribution of the factor of safety and the probability of failure, not just a single deterministic number.
Project files with many analyses
Keep several analyses of the same slope — different methods, with and without stabilization — in one project file, and copy an analysis from one method to another.

Reports and plots
Scaled plots of the slope, soil profile and critical surfaces, plus complete output listings suitable for inclusion in engineering reports. US customary or SI units.
License and pricing
The license is perpetual — pay once and keep the version you buy. Each license is locked to a USB dongle: install STABL WV on as many of your computers as you like, and it runs on whichever one has the dongle plugged in. Price in US dollars. Checkout is handled by Stripe; the program is not downloaded from this site.

How buying works
Pay securely with Stripe
Clicking a button takes you to a Stripe checkout page. Card details are entered on Stripe's servers and never touch this site. You will receive a Stripe receipt by email.
Receive your installer and license
A download link and your license file are sent to the email address you used at checkout, normally within one business day. If you asked us to supply the dongle, it ships at the same time.
Install and activate
Run the installer on any computer you use. A dongle we supplied arrives ready to go: plug it in and start STABL WV. If you are using your own drive, first create a folder named LicenseFile on it and put the license file we sent you inside. The dongle stays connected while you work.
Using a USB drive you already own
Your license is locked to the drive's hardware serial number, which is not the volume serial Windows shows in a drive's properties and is not visible without digging. STABL USB ID reads it for you: plug the drive in, run the program, press Copy details for email, and send us the result. Nothing is installed.
